No chance to;
Look into each other’s eyes
Caress each other’s face
Kiss each other’s lips
Squeeze hands
Share glances

Love understood:
Love is a vapor quick to disappear
Lost in the universe
A blessing or a curse
What can be worse?
To seek what you do not possess
Your heart needs to address.

What’s done is done;
Love without an ending
Is not worth defending
Hope that is futile
Will make your life brutal
Unfurl the page and do not engage

Who’s to say?
As we go from day to day
To find our circumstances in
And a new chapter begin

Saw her once
Had to stay
I knew there was

Her olive complexion
Needs no correction.
Those beautiful eyes
How they hypnotize
Her inviting lips
Hide the sweetness of her tongue
Her long black hair accents her face
There’s no one else among..
Who can take her place.

Never underestimate her ability
She has nothing to prove
To whom should we compare her to?
Who else has a 5-star rating?

Years slide quietly away
Time becomes the enemy
Days are short
No time to be
No time to carve our initials
On the “Sweetheart Tree”

Dreams give way to reality
Reality gives way to destiny
But as the pages begin to unfurl
She will forever be My P.T.Girl

Not so many guys can be as lucky as I was
She was my soul sister oh how I miss her!
Throughout our youth always together always in touch
Counting on each other meant so much.
Always there when I needed her so
My stress and worries seemed to go
Forever friends Never romance
Never thought of taking a chance
OF destroying our friendship we took a stance

As the years passed on we somehow lost touch
It seems we no longer needed that crutch
We parted our ways never a clue never a trace
Love comes in different ways
I’m so glad we felt that way
To build a relationship that goes beyond
No one can be as fortunate as we
To live our lives separately

I pray that all is well
The Good Book says, “You reap what you sow”
My life has shown this to be true for real
This poem proves just how I feel

I’ll remember Donna and I’ll smile

I dry my eyes from idle tears
While the daffodils bend under the crimson sky
And the winds whistle through a darken sky
While the moon gazes and winks as it passes by
The sparrow covers its newly hatched eggs
As the high cirrus clouds cry out, “You can’t Denie”
Life is brief
Love is long
Follow the signs
