I took a trip on a train
Stared through the open window
I gazed on grassy plains rolling hills open prairies
What a wonderful view
But I never knew

Visited a museum
To see if I could see ‘um
From across the land
Painted by hand
Golden sunrises red sunsets
What a wonderful view

I read words that came alive
Visioning scenes I’ve never seen
The printed words penned by creation
Touched my imagination
What a wonderful view
But I never knew

I watched on the screen
Many beautiful scenes
Colorful flowers tall leafy trees gentle rain drops
Things to adore behind my closed door
What a wonderful view
But I never knew

On a lark I took a walk in the park
Freedom no fences!
Exploring my senses
Discovered!
The coolness of the rain
The breeze on my face
The warmth of the sun
Felt the dew on the grass
Smelled the fragrance of the flowers
Tasted  the water from the stream
Just a few
What a wonderful view
I never knew could be true

Is not life out of order?
Time shows it so
What was then should be now
Should not the first be last?
Who defines fate anyhow?

Time fails me
Time won’t let me be
Time beats me down
Time can’t be turned around

If time is running out
Can life be far behind?
Will death give me a sign?
Or am I walking blind

Do I follow?
Should it be?
Should I swallow?
Never!
For this time the time’s on me!

Darkness descends
Night begins
Closed doors
Saintly sins

Moon abate
Glossy eyes
Man believes
Devil lies

Spirits roam
Somber thoughts
Spiritual war
Battle fought

Hours fade
Unclean hands
Sexual immorality
Nightly stand

Gratify desires
Evil holds
Body sacrifice
Debauchery enfolds

Tainted hearts
Not ashamed
Guiltless minds
Others blame

Selfish wants
Forever owed
Needs met
Never sowed

Envy rules
Sour grapes
Others covet
Morals rape

Lust abound
Hearts exploded
Senses unchecked
Times imploded

Darkness reigns
Devils light
Man’s indiscretions
Never right

Will I ever be the same?
A voice in mute
Puts time in dispute
I’ll dip my pen within my hand
To rest upon my stand
Time doesn’t heal
But its memories I’ll steal
To press for my appeal

If time allows
Not knowing how
Or what to do now
For what’s left for me
If only the verse
And not the melody

On the road to Moriah I met a man
Whose words I didn’t understand
“Have you passed the test
Or do you follow the rest?”
“Do you travel with faith in hand?”

Returning from Moriah is when I knew
What the man was referring to
Left to my own devices
Had left my world in crises
But with faith as my strength I made it through

Die in regret
Have done

Not knowing what lies ahead
Where do you go?
How do you get there?

Die in denial
You take the position in opposition
Don’t take about dying
Continue denying

Die self-sufficient
I did it my way
That’s all I’ll say

Die in change
Thinking that resolutions
Could provide the solutions

Die in faith
There’s no debate
Live in faith
Die in faith
However!
Talking about dying
Is a social taboo
But how you look at dying
Depends on your point of view
