Told today my brother passed away
I will never know why or the reason God took you as he did.
We mortals have to answer to God.
Some day we will all wear immortality like you.
You were all alone with no time to say goodby
What is it like to leave reality?
Leaving those you love taking only your memories
Leaving no time for our goodbyes
Only God knows our appointed time
But he tells us to be prepared
I will miss you brother and cherish
the memories we shared for 80 years

Or those you have chosen to influence your life
Leaving you nothing but strife?
Or the substance you chose to blow up your nose?
Or the smoke you take as soon as you awake?
Or the drink you need to help you succeed?
Or the web site you hide from sight?
Whatever Goliath you face in your life
You have to erase

David took a stance against a stronger enemy than you will ever face
And was victorious
It may not be easy nothing is
Until you place your trust and faith
