Unrequited Love: This is a story without an ending A play with no rehearsal A poem with no verse A song with no sound A love with no romance
No chance to; Look into each other’s eyes Caress each other’s face Kiss each other’s lips Squeeze hands Share glances
Love understood: Love is a vapor quick to disappear Lost in the universe A blessing or a curse What can be worse? To seek what you do not possess Your heart needs to address.
What’s done is done; Love without an ending Is not worth defending Hope that is futile Will make your life brutal Unfurl the page and do not engage ***************************** Will you forever ever be My P.T. Girl?
“Better by far you should forget and smile Then that you should remember and be sad” Christina Rossetti
Who’s to know?’ Who’s to say? As we go from day to day To find our circumstances in And a new chapter begin
Saw her once Had to stay I knew there was No other way
“Only heaven could have painted her face” Her olive complexion Needs no correction. Those beautiful eyes How they hypnotize Her inviting lips Hide the sweetness of her tongue Her long black hair accents her face There’s no one else among.. Who can take her place.
Never underestimate her ability She has nothing to prove To whom should we compare her to? Who else has a 5-star rating?
Years slide quietly away Time becomes the enemy Days are short No time to be No time to carve our initials On the “Sweetheart Tree”
Dreams give way to reality Reality gives way to destiny But as the pages begin to unfurl She will forever be My P.T.Girl ************************** Only God knows the end from the beginning
65 Grove is the street where old friends meet Memories collide as you walk side by side Every step a step in the past Half of our lives are gone Yet, we cling to our youth to inspire us to move on Lessons taught Lessons learned Life does not lead us to the grave We are told to let the dead bury the dead WE walk with accomplishment and pride And hope to meet again on the other side ************************************ “True friends are those you have not seen in years, but feels like you were never apart” author unknow
Beware of the leaven of the hypocrites The more you feed them the more they grow Whose masks grow to fit their faces Creating your happiness on others opinions Robbing your self-esteem Playing on your emotions Letting others control your life Taking away your self-control Identify the mask Identify the face. The mask will soon fall off
Beware of the leaven of the masked people
Intelects: Who want you all to think alike in a population not very intelligent Teachers: teaching our precious resources they bow to others and follow the lead of the teacher’ unions under political pressure to keep their jobs Religious Leaders: Who treat people like things this is the beginning of religious slavery Politicians: no debate slander becomes a weapon stupidity becomes an honored virtue lies become truths Others: Born without masks Children tend to wear them at play many are dropped at maturity while many see them as an advantage in life and are determined to keep them fixed until they as are identified as to whom they really are ************************************************************ “I was ashamed of myself when I realized life was a costume party and I attended with my real face.” Franz Kafka
” We wear the mask that grins and lies It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes This debt we pay to human guile With torn and bleeding hearts we smile And mouth with myriad subtleties” D.L. Dunbar
Not so many guys can be as lucky as I was She was my soul sister oh how I miss her! Throughout our youth always together always in touch Counting on each other meant so much. Always there when I needed her so My stress and worries seemed to go Forever friends Never romance Never thought of taking a chance OF destroying our friendship we took a stance
As the years passed on we somehow lost touch It seems we no longer needed that crutch We parted our ways never a clue never a trace Love comes in different ways I’m so glad we felt that way To build a relationship that goes beyond No one can be as fortunate as we To live our lives separately
I pray that all is well The Good Book says, “You reap what you sow” My life has shown this to be true for real This poem proves just how I feel
“Slow down you move too fast Got to make the moments last Just kicking down the gobble stones Look for fun and feeling groovy” Simon and Garfunkel
AS age increases slowing down is more like slow motion Sometimes you watch the world like you’re watching a movie De ja-vu Da ja -vu Feelings of unrealness Cherish the moments you make Never try to forsake them
Find yourself time to unwind Be in the moment Let no one or something take over your thoughts Follow no rabbet trails in life Be anxious for nothing Let exercise be your thing Eat at your favorite restaurant Whatever you want Let life be your thing ******************************* “Life I love you All is groovy”
Look into the mirror and tell me whom do you see? Is that the Image you want others to see? Is it the outside only? Do you hide the inside? Who do you pretend to be if not yourself? Is your self-esteem a carbon copy of someone else? By what stander do you identify with? Are you living a myth?
WHAT?
What is in your heart? Do you seek greatness in this world? Is fame the name of the game? What are your passions? Popularity Appearance Sucess Need to be in fashion? Will a PHD solve the issue? Or maybe worldly service Or being a philanthropist Is being visible based on accomplishments? Does losing all make you nervous? What is in your heart? Ask yourself! Who gave you these gifts? Where does your greatness lie?
WHERE
Where does your greatness lie? To whom do you owe your success? Is your love mixed with vanity? Is your life full of pomp and circumstance? Willing to take chances Dispite failures and faults Climbing the latter of success Ignoring all the rest Or Do you exhibit loneliness with humility? Or do you take us for fools When you speak the golden rule?
WHEN?
From birth till death What is your life worth? When you’re buried in the earth The secrets that you keep Buried in the deep We can only guess Will they ever give you rest?
WHY?
Why was your faith based only on what you see? Is seeing believing You never believed in blind faith Do you believe now? Has your faith given you eternal rest? Did your life assure your destiny? Are you where you belong? Destiny is funny When left to one’s discretion Has lead you in the wrong direction Where you are now, I can only guess ***************************************** “For he cometh in with vanity, departed in darkness and his name shall be covered with darkness. Moreover he hath not seen the sun nor known anything this hath more rest than the other.”
Ecclesiastes 6 1-12
“Good beats upon the damned incessantly as sound waves beat on the ears of the deaf, but they cannot receive it.Their fists are clenched, their teeth are clenched, their eyes are fast shut. First they will not, in the end they cannot open their hands for gifts, or their mouth for food, or their eyes to see,” C.S.Lewis (1898-1963)
Apologize for your behavior Show mercy Ask for her forgiveness Forgive yourself Show compassion Action with meekness Be truthful Pay more attention Never take her for granted Show humility. Be yourself Leave in peace Never have to regret doing nothing. Words without action is the wrong reaction You have nothing unless you have love Love from your heart Life without love is not very smart ***************************************** “Unless you have forgiven others you read your own death warrant when you repeat the Lord’s Prayer” C.H. Spurgeon (1834-1892)
Where does youth go? Must we depend on our memory? Do we need to reminisce? Must we depend on recollections? Do old photos freeze us in time? Does man’s mortality make it so? No need to pretend No! No! No! For I see my lost youth In the eyes of my friends *************************************** “You can’t go home again. Your childhood is lost. The friends of your youth are gone. Your present is slipping away from you. Nothing is ever the same.”
If you could read my mind What would you be likely to find? Words I would never use Thoughts that I abuse How and why I pretend Why the longings never end Why being so proud Never lets me cry out loud Spirits from my past that Haunt me still Why I’m held against my will Why love has evaded still By turning each page you’ll soon realize That reading someone’s mind May not be very wise
