Can it be found?
I’ve looked here
There and everywhere
To no avail
I’ve searched high
I’ve searched low
Have nothing to show
Where can it be?
Has it escaped me?
Do I go on looking?
Do I abide in my hope?
Is it all in vain?
With hope comes pain
Is it all a game?
Without it
I’ll never be the same

In life’s living circumstances
We often fear the consequences
While avoiding the problem
Less hesitation
Less conversation
Truth with action
Should be the reaction

Love with words
Is seldom heard
When love’s not able
We tend to enable

Judgments of the heart
Can tear love apart
No one really knows
It goes as it goes
For sometimes
When things get tough
Love’s not always enough
