281-My Lost Youth

Where does youth go?
Must we depend on our memory?
Do we need to reminisce?
Must we depend on recollections?
Do old photos freeze us in time?
Does man’s mortality make it so?
No need to pretend
No! No! No!
For
I see my lost youth
In the eyes of my friends
***************************************
“You can’t go home again.
Your childhood is lost.
The friends of your youth are gone.
Your present is slipping away from you.
Nothing is ever the same.”
