When I was young, I planted a garden in the rain
I sowed dreams,hopes,wishes and desires.
I fertilized with love ambition goals objectives determination
My garden grew as I grew
But sometimes in life’s relationships undermine challenge dwarf your intentions
Weeds began to sprout in my garden
Jealousy envy covets lies deceit lack of support
I realized soon that in our romance she would rather
Lead when we danced!!
I removed the weeds that quenched ambitions
I moved on
And found someone who helps me fertilize
